Aishan Yu’s
work has two strands. one combines Photography,
Film, Sculpture and Painting to explore the idea of shadows which play with
the opposition of existence and non-existence, presence and absence, material
and immaterial. The other strand is figurative Oil Painting using photography
images which focus on a balance of photographic realism and
non-representational (abstract) textures. Aishan
recently showed work in the Threadneedle Figurative
