Drawing on the
traditions of the flâneur and the psychogeographer, most of Rachel Ichniowski's
work results from mapping, walking, observing, and intervening with the
ever-changing landscape of the city. Rachel's most recent work has evolved
from exploring rapidly gentrifying and developing parts of cities, from the
area of east London earmarked for the 2012 Olympics Park to the Columbia
Heights neighbourhood of Washington, D.C. Her work employs multiple media,
including video, photography, and sound, and makes use of modern technology
and forms of communication, from laptops and camera phones to blogging and social networking websites. Born in
