CUT LIGHT

Alexandra works on a many layered investigation of the reality of the subtle, the silent, the momentary, the ungraspable, the poetic. In short, it is an attempt to elevate the often overlooked quotidian moments that punctuate our existence. It is an awareness that even the most permanent is only seemingly so. Light is an essential tool in this investigation; light has the ability to literally illuminate the ephemeral and ever-changing and because light is ephemeral, it changes before our very eyes and draws out the nuances of an ever-changing world.

Alexandra recently exhibited at Wolstenholme Projects, Liverpool.

Alexandra was an artist in residence in Rethymno, Crete, Greece for the Athens School of Fine Art ‘Utopia Project 2008’.
